Um, I play Ava and Mary to Nathan. We are, um, having a very tough time in our marriage. We're, we're losing money, we're losing the house funds are low. He lost his job. We have a baby on the way. So they're kind of desperate times, desperate measures. Um, she's also obsessed with true crime. She has a little group of friends that they talk about podcasts and true crime stuff like that and a, um, serial killer kind of falls into their laps accidentally. Um, he's their, he's their plumber and Ava with her kind of wits and her excitement with true crime and kind of learning how to put these puzzles together. Realizes that she thinks that their plumber is a serial killer. Super smart. And she tells, you know, Nathan about this and he's not quite convinced until he is and then they're about to call the cops and they got to turn this guy in when a says, you know what, let's, can we make a podcast about this? And actually the way I talk about it, it sounds even more insane. Bring the, it's ridiculous. Bring the, the serial killer in as a, um, you know, and tell him that we'll go to the cops if, if he doesn't help us out and it's kind of a desperate couple doing something extremely desperate and actually getting closer in the meantime trying to save themselves so well done. Thank you. So, Chris, I know in one of the episodes you go to Crime Con, I didn't realize crime Conventions are a real thing. Yeah. Uh, that was fun. That was a real fun one. Yeah, that was, that was fun. Did you get to see that one? Uh I, I know some spoilers about it but yes, I, I didn't know that. Crime. So what was it like to, what are Crime conventions like? Or at least what did you guys kind of try to create? Like the set design was amazing. So yeah, they had so many interesting folks walking around and super into the, you know, True Crime and Podcast and uh we got into some mayhem there, there's a great uh episode where we go to the dance club, the dancing. That was a blast. We, oh my God, I was like eight months pregnant. We were just like dancing like for hours hours. It was so much fun. Yeah. Crime com was crazy. Also there was all these pop ups. So like there was like Dateline pop ups. I stole so many Dateline hats and mugs. I my whole kitchen is filled with too. Yeah, I was just passing them out. Apparently, I thought they were free and they're here now. Going to crime country. We just solved a crime right now because I openly admitted it like an absolute idiot. I'm like, I'm the one that stole them all. Oh, that's where the swag went. So, Kale, you talked about your pregnancy, which they wrote into the show. How did it help evolve the plot? And how's the baby doing now? She's awesome. Matilda is great. It, it was actually a great addition. Um I surprised our team by telling them I was pregnant a month before we started shooting or a month or two. And, you know, after a lot of thought they, they wrote it in and I actually think it was such a great part of the show. It added stakes to this relationship to the stress to the, what are we gonna do also? I also love that even though it was written in, it was not some weird focal point. It was just kind of part of the show, like the things they got into and all the, all the crazy stuff didn't change because she was pregnant. So that made me very happy. It was just like part of the show. And Chris, why do you think we're so obsessed with true crime? I know why I am is uh he's not a sense with true crime. He's a liar. But you acted like I know why I could. No. Well, I watch that. Stuff because I'm trying to figure out, like, if I'm ever in this bad situation with a, with a bad, how do you, how do you get out of it? How do I not get killed? That's why I'm watching. It's good to know. Yeah. Ok. What about you? Um, I love true Crime. I really am obsessed. Unlike him. I watch tons of datelines, forensic files, all that stuff. And I think what's fascinating is we in America we are obsessed with good people doing bad things or making these choices. I mean, I've watched so many episodes where you, you see the person who didn't do something, they're actually lying or they're, and it's because of a pressure and a desperation. Um, so I do believe this stuff could happen. Obviously, this story is crazy but I believe too sorry to interrupt when you watch this stuff, don't you end up feeling better about your own life? That's why I watch it. I'm a good person. I've done so well for this point. Look at all the things that have gone. Yeah. No, we're doing great. Ok. So, Kayleigh, if someone on the team was going to solve a crime, who would it be on the show? Among the casting crew? It would be a for sure. Yeah. She's the obsessed one. Uh, she's a crime.
