Artechouse's Newest Exhibition Uses Latest NASA Images

A new immersive art exhibit in Manhattan, lets people experience never before seen images that the James Webb space telescope captured. All of them are pretty remarkable. Our senior reporter Cloe takes us inside for an up close look. I step below. New York City's iconic Chelsea market and out of this world in art Tech House's newest immersive experience Beyond the Light. A partnership with NASA. It leverages the latest in audio and visual technology to reimagine nasa's discoveries, but let's talk about what you can actually do and see here. Now, behind me is the main event. It's a 25 minute cinematic experience that explores humanity's relationship with light. It starts with a primordial experience with light moves into a spiritual experience and then into the 21st century where humanity actually uses light to learn more about the universe. Perhaps the coolest part about this is that it brings to life previously flat and static images from the revolutionary James Webb telescope. Now, as I mentioned, this is the main event, but there's plenty more that you can do and see upstairs including learning about the 18 59 Carrington event. Now, this was the biggest solar storm in human history and it actually completely disrupted technology at the time as well as bringing aurora displays as far south as the tropics. Now, one exhibition upstairs explores what it might mean for technology today. If something like the Carrington event happened again, there's also Mars Rover Dreams, which is an interactive exhibition that takes an artistic look at what various Mars Rovers think about. And that display actually plays above the Xr Bar where you can get special t beyond the light themed cocktails to enhance your experience. Now, if you're a space nut like I am, this is not to be missed because the Art Tech House team actually collaborated with the Goddard Space Flight Center with the James Webb telescope mission team, as well as with the Astronomy and physics departments at Johns Hopkins University to make sure that they got everything just right. And so many of these exhibitions are backed up by real data, everything from the musical score behind this 25 minute cinematic experience to vanishing, which actually explores climate change. Now, this exhibition will run all summer long here in New York City.
