On a Positive Note

So when you think of girl scout activities, camping or selling cookies probably comes to mind. But one decorated scout out of Connecticut is speaking up for crime victims. In our next story, she's giving a voice to the voiceless. Take a look when you're older, you like you're into boys or fashion. But I put a lot of time and effort into this. Even at 17, Samara Negrin relishes girl scouting. I love girl scouts. Her efforts to help crime victims are producing more than a merit badge. I had to do something to raise awareness. The project focuses on fighting human trafficking. It struck a chord within me and I knew I had to do something about it. The aspiring marketer got to work and I believe we all can make a difference and that we are all tiny ripples that can create a tidal wave building an awareness campaign instead of grains of sand. Samara uses piles of beads, stringing thousands of bracelets and key chains. A tangible reminder of people all too often forgotten. If victims could know how hard you're working, how would you say that it will make them feel happy? It will make them feel special and knowing that somebody cares and they would want, they would want that the girl scout motto, do a good turn daily. The ripples will create a tidal wave splashing out.
