Sitting Down With 'The Little Mermaid' Star Halle Bailey 

Welcome back, everyone to Chatter News. I'm Baker Machado and I'm Shanna Lane. And if you didn't know the live action remake of The Little Mermaid officially hits theaters on Friday. I can't wait now. The film had its world premiere earlier this month in Los Angeles and my family got a chance to attend. It was an absolute dream come true. Baker, but the magic didn't stop there. My kids got an opportunity to meet Ariel herself. That's right after being surprised. I miss Halle Bailey. Oh, my gosh. They even took over my job and asked her a few questions. Oh, my goodness. How long can you hold your breath underwater? Oh, well, not that long. Probably like 50 seconds. Not that impressive. Wow, that's long. No. How do you take care your hair? Oh, that's a great question. Well, you know, for our hair, we have to keep it really moisturized, especially when we go swimming because it's chlorine. So when I was filming the movie, a lot of the time when I would just not have to be all dressed up as a, I would wear swim cap so that the chlorine wouldn't get in my head and then after I wash it really good, moisturize it really good, Bob. You become a famous singer and actor. Oh, well, I started singing from a very young age with my sister. And you know, my older sister Chloe really helped me just get out of my shell and we really just started doing it because we loved it. And I think the more and more you try and put yourself out there, you never know what can happen. And then next thing you know, we're doing it as a career. So you just go after your dreams, do it and don't be scared even though sometimes it is scary. And have your sister use your sister to lift, lift you up, you know. Oh my goodness. How old are you? Both on 12, on sixth grade? Yeah, they're so good. I'm so happy to meet other sisters because I have a sister Chloe. I actually have two sisters, Chloe and, and you guys remind me of me and my sister. Thank you. I'm so excited to meet you. I'm so happy to meet you. So that was mckenzie and then Madison doing all the interviewing. Why? Carters just about and his carter's face was the best part of his leg. I got my, I got my play with that thing the entire trip. It was just so much fun. They just had makeovers at the bi Bo Bo Bo and I mean, they just treated us so Nice thanks to Disneyland and Disneyland Parks and, and, and Halle Bailey also for surprising the right. That's a once in a lifetime experience. And also you've seen the movie and your reaction? Oh, my gosh. It was amazing. I didn't think they could do much better than the first one. But then I saw it, the music, the acting, the cinematography and some people were given a, you know, a bad name to the C G, the C G I, but I liked it. I like the, the real, they would look like real, actual crabs and birds and fish and I like that. I know so many families are gonna be seeing it this weekend. We're going on Saturday. I was gonna say it's gonna be a different experience for you this time knowing that she's not there but either way, incredible experience for you and your family. It's been a good job to my kids for their great interviewing skills.
