This series about unlikely pirates and finding your people is back for a second season to the delight of its dedicated fandom and to me — Season 1 was my top streaming pick for 2022. Stede Bonnet, aka the Gentleman Pirate, is a bit hardened by loss but still mostly hapless as he and his crew try to not get killed by Blackbeard after a falling out.

The docu-series shares the trials and tribulations faced by the young soccer legend in his rise to fame. In his own words, David Beckham talks about his high-profile relationship and incredible soccer career and does not shy away from scandal. Joined by his wife, fashion designer and singer Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham, friends, family, and fellow footballers, Beckham recalls the ingredients that have made the secret sauce of his success.

Now the question is: Is it as good as the iconic fever dream that is the made-for-TV movie “Victoria Beckham: Coming To America”? You be the judge! 

I recently watched Shannon Sharpe's latest Club Shay Shay podcast featuring Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch and it confirmed what I already knew about the guy: he is hilarious. Stories about his upbringing and time with the Legion of Boom in Seattle made me seek out more Lynch content and I discovered a gem with No Script. The comedy-reality show tags along with the former running back as he drives tanks, races cars and rides roller coasters. It's a casual watch and especially good if you're looking to laugh

Jason Segel and May Adams did some fine work with this 2011 Muppets reprisal. Gary (Segel), his Muppet brother Walter, and his girlfriend (Adams) head out to Los Angeles to see Walter's all-time favorite celebs: The Muppets. When they find the group's legacy in ruins they join forces to stop an evil developer from taking over the old studio. It's funny and sweet in a very family-friendly way and includes some of the best songs associated with the group, like Rainbow Connection and Mahna Mahna
